"Mushroom" 2018 Ripe Puer is a dark tea with an earthy punch and syrupy body. There are wood notes with some minor sweetness as well. This tea was pressed in 2018. If you like a heavy mouthfeel and strong earthiness then do not be afraid to brew this tea dark. This tea is very forgiving and can be over brewed without turning bitter. I have brewed this tea gongfu, western, and bowl brewing styles with good results. I recommend trying many brewing styles and using the one you like best!
Going along with the theme of this tea, every purchase will result in a donation to the "Give the Bees a Chance" project. The team working on this project is partnered with Washington State University. This project uses medicinal mushrooms to help increase bees lifespan and reduce the effects of pest/diseases that lead to colony collapse disorder.
