"Cactus" 2018 is a raw puer blend pressed in spring 2018 featuring the giant Saguaro cactus. Overall, this tea has pleasant earthy and greenness to it. The early steeps of this tea has some astringency and fresh green taste from the new tea material. Later infusions reveal a very nice sweetness to the tea. There is a satisfying and lingering sweet aftertaste. When brewed lighter, the tea is sweeter overall with less of an aftertaste. If you brew this tea darker you will be hit with astringency first, but will be rewarded with a long lasting sweet aftertaste. I have brewed this tea gongfu, western style, and cold brew with good results. I recommend trying many brewing styles and using the one you like best!
Each purchase will result in a donation to Friends of Saguaro National Park. Friends of Saguaro National Park are partners with the National Park Service. They help protect Saguaro National Park and the amazing diversity of plants and animals the park has. Every donation will be put towards their Saguaro cactus research and conservation program.
